Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of imsmarter (imsmarter.io and the imsmarter app), a Thai-learning service. imsmarter is operated by its developer, based in Sweden. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

imsmarter offers a free tier (level-check placement test, a subset of phrase packs, keyboard/typing practice) and paid subscription tiers (Pro and Max) that unlock the full content library, AI-generated practice, an AI chat tutor, spaced-repetition reviews, and other features described on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Features and pricing may change; we'll do our best to give notice of material changes to paid plans.

Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe, our payment processor.
• New paid subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You can cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.
• After the trial (or if you subscribe without one), your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• We don't offer partial-month refunds for a cancellation mid-period.

Your right to withdraw (EU/EEA customers)

If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. Because imsmarter is digital content/a digital service that you can start using immediately, that withdrawal right ends as soon as you start using a paid feature (for example, the first time you open a Pro-only lesson or send a chat message) — this is the standard rule for digital content under EU consumer law. Before you can start a trial or subscription, you're asked to check a box on the pricing page expressly acknowledging you understand this. If you haven't actually used any paid feature yet, you can still withdraw within 14 days by contacting us (see Contact, below) for a full refund.

Acceptable use

Use imsmarter for your own language learning. Don't try to break, scrape, resell, or abuse the service (including the AI features), impersonate someone else, or upload content you don't have the right to share. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

Content

Phrase packs, books, and other curated learning content are ours (or licensed to us) and are for your personal learning use. AI-generated practice items and coach feedback are produced automatically and may occasionally be imperfect — if you spot a mistake, please report it in-app so we can fix it.

Disclaimer and liability

imsmarter is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and AI-generated content can be wrong. To the extent allowed by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under Swedish/EU law (e.g. for gross negligence or intentional harm).

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll try to let existing subscribers know (e.g. by email) before it takes effect.
